Four fights were added to the ONE FC: Moment of Truth fight card on Wednesday. The event is set for the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila on Dec. 6, including a lightweight match-up between Vuyisile Colossa and Caros Fodor.
Colossa (6-4) is coming off a dominant decision win over Kotetsu Boku at ONE FC: Champion and Warriors in September, while UFC and Strikeforce veteran Fodor (8-3) outpointed the durable Yang Seung Ho the same night.
If reigning lightweight champion Shinya Aoki decided to make the move to 145 pounds a permanent one, which he is widely expected to do, then this bout could have implications for the lightweight title landscape with the winner potentially in line to fight for the vacant belt.
Kevin Belingon (10-3) reached the final of the ONE FC 135-pound Grand Prix, but missed out to Masakatsu Ueda, who got the nod from the judges at ONE FC: Rise to Power in May. The Team Lakay standout returns to the same venue on Dec. 6 to take on unbeaten Spaniard David Aranda Santacana (9-0).
Alain Ngalani (1-0) introduced himself to MMA in spectacular style by stunning Mahmoud Hassan with a wheel kick at ONE FC: Champions & Warriors before finishing him with punches just 31 seconds into the opening round.
The Camerounian kickboxing and Muay Thai veteran faces a sterner examination of his cage fighting credentials when he faces Canadian based Taiwanese fighter and former CFL lineman Paul Cheng (3-1).
The final fight announced sees Geje Eustaquio (4-2) look for his second ONE FC win when he takes on fellow Filipino flyweight Eugene Toquero (4-0), who joins Asia’s biggest MMA promotion on the back of a successful sting with PXC.
ONE FC: Moment of Truth will be headlined by a featherweight title rematch between Honorio Banario (8-2) and Koji Oishi (24-9-10) and will also see lightweight Eduard Folayang (12-4) back in action, while atomweight female fighter Jujeath Nagaowa will be making her MMA debut.
