Sarah Kaufman 478x270Former Strikeforce women’s bantamweight titleholder Sarah Kaufman makes her long awaited UFC debut against Olympic medalist Sara McMann on Aug. 28 on the second UFC on Fox Sports 1 fight card in Indianapolis.

UFC Tonight made the fight announcement on Tuesday.

She is coming off a split decision win over Leslie Smith at Invicta FC 5 on April 5.

McMann (7-0) is undefeated and made her UFC debut at UFC 159 on April 27 with technical knockout win over Sheila Gaff becoming the third female fighter to win inside the famed Octagon.

The UFC on FS1 2 card is quickly growing with two more fight announcements being made on Tuesday via Twitter.

The Ultimate Fighter 17 contestant Bubba McDaniel faces The Ultimate Fighter 11 semi-finalist Brad Tavares on the Aug. 28 fight card.

Middleweights James Head and Bobby Voelker will also face off on the Indianapolis event.  Both are coming off of loses and are fighting to get back on the winning track.

Bad news for Sarah Kaufman. McMann should be able to handle her pretty easily. Unless Kaufmans takedown defense has improved. I want McMann/Rousey. I still think that McMann’s takedowns are better than Rousey’s, but Rousey is the better grappler.

looking forward to this one… I dont think its gonna be McMann’s toughest fight by far.

Lets hope the Takedowns and takedown defense has improved a little since Kaufmans last fight or it is going to get ugly. It’s amazing how you can call yourself a mixed martial artist but no understand martial art’SSSSS

It’s Kaufman who should be coaching opposite Rousey She deserves the rematch…not Tate. She already beat Tate and won her last fight, while Tate lost hers.

Kaufman clearly won the 1st and the 3rd. She got the win and she deserved the win!
