Stipe Miocic was always a great athlete growing up in Cleveland, Ohio.

In fact, the UFC heavyweight and Cleveland firefighter was reportedly a prospect on many a Major League Baseball team’s wish list. He chose mixed martial arts instead.

With a record that currently stands at an unblemished 9-0, Miocic has quickly become the pride of Cleveland, with many fans in the city hopeful that Miocic will eventually bring home a UFC championship.

  • God has nothing to do with it, Cleveland is just too small a city to compete with the big cities. The money isn’t there to buy a Championship.
    As far as Stipe goes I am a huge fan, I’m a fan of Struve too, and this is a giant leap in competition for Stipe. It isn’t that he doesn’t have a chance because he does, it just seems he is not ready to take on one of the best heavy weights.
    I will be rooting for him though.
