MTX Audio held its second annual Fight Night event on Friday night. The event saw its birth in January of 2008. The event is part of MTX’s support of its team of MMA fighters and – held during the huge annual consumer electronics trade show, CES, in Las Vegas – is a way for the company to expose the sport to many individuals who maybe haven’t watched it before.
At MTX Audio’s Fight Night 2, Jesse Forbes, an MTX fighter, was successful in the main event for the second year running, as he defeated J.R. Schumacher by TKO in the opening round. The win puts Forbes back on track following a loss at XMMA 6 and improves his professional record to 8-3.
New MTX fighter Chris Camozzi, who fought and lost to now teammate Forbes in the past, scored an impressive victory over veteran fighter Victor Moreno. The win was the latest step in Camozzi’s development as he submitted Moreno with a guillotine choke in the opening moments of round two.
Another teammate, Estevan Payan, improved his professional record to 6-1 with first round armbar submission of Ray Robinson.
Fight of the Night was awarded to Brett Chism and Josh Griggs in a bout that Chism won via majority decision.
