- FIGHTS FOR CHARITY THURSDAY NIGHT IN DENVER

On Thursday, December 21st, longtime Denver promoter and trainer Keith Schmeltzer is using his Rocky Mountain Bad Boyz promotion as a vehicle to help out the kids at Children’s Hospital in Denver.

“The fans in Denver are great and we [Rocky Mountain Bad Boyz] just wanted to do something to give back to the community that has been so good to us,” said Schmeltzer.

“We are using all amateur fighters to keep costs down, so that we can do as much as possible for Children’s Hospital,” he continued. “There are a lot of kids that are going to have to spend their Christmas in the hospital and we just thought it would be kind of nice to do something to make their holiday a little brighter.”

Very popular local DJ, Uncle Nasty of 106.7 KBPI, will also be on hand and is actually expected to participate in an exhibition grappling match with local area fighter John Cronk. Now, this isn’t your usual local personality putting on pillow gloves or the oversized Sumo suit. Uncle Nasty has actually trains in mixed martial arts at L.A. Boxing in the Denver area, and not just for this particular exhibition, it is something that he does as part of his own interest. It is an exhibition and grappling only, but it should be fun for local fans to see one of their favorite KBPI DJ’s grapple with one of Denver’s more controversial fighters.

The best part, for fans and for the kids at Children’s Hospital, is that entry to the show is a donation of a new, unopened toy or a donation. There will also be donation jars and charity raffles throughout the evening with all funds going to the Children’s Hospital of Denver.

The fights will be held at the Palladium Night Club just north of Denver on Thursday, December 21st. The doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the first fight scheduled for 7:30 p.m. So, bring a toy and enjoy the fights. All ages allowed.
