LAS VEGAS
– The competitors for “The Ultimate Fighter” season six finale weighed in
on Friday at the Palms Hotel & Casino. All the fighters made weight.

The main
event features two of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s premier young guns
in Roger Huerta and Clay Guida, who showed much respect for each other as they
stepped off the scales.

The season
six welterweight final pits Mac Danzig against Tommy Speer. The two were
teammates under coach Matt Hughes during the regular season of the series, but
you wouldn’t have known it at the weigh-ins. They had an intense stair-down as
they posed for photographers and didn’t bother to shake hands afterwards.

In a Steve
Jobsian moment before everyone dispersed, UFC president Dana White made one
final announcement as the weigh-ins came to a close.

Following
each season of the reality series, the show’s coaches are presented with a
gift. Seeing as how this was Hughes’ second go-around as a coach, White said
that he promised to get him exactly what he wanted as a gift. He did,
presenting Hughes with a John Deere tractor.

The
Ultimate Fighter season six finale takes place Saturday night at the Palms.
