“Why not give the winner of Alexander and DC the winner of myself and Glover??” Now DC should get a title eliminator, JJ your not the match maker, you got one job, punch people in the face, how about you do your job and others do there. Quit trying to duck fights.

  • Obi-Wan Granoli

i knew bones would say something like this, better not get his wish. that’d be some serious b.s considering gus has been kicking ass for a while in the LHW and DC has fought cummins.

  • Obi-Wan Granoli

on that note, i really now hope glover KO’s bones and he can be on his merry way. gus already beat him anyway.

  • MuayThaiFood

I’ve been a fan of Jon Jones since he was coming up in the rankings but I’ve got to admit I think I’m going to the other side. Am I the only one who is rubbed wrong by his Tweets? Even Cormier, who for obvious reasons wanted to be next realizes that Gus is the rightful guy to fight Jones next. Jon is actually implying that they may be afraid to fight each other but not him? Does he not understand how ludicrous that sounds and how it would appear to make him look like the easier guy to fight of the three? And then this: “People who don’t like to think are quick to call me afraid. Think about it, I’m asking for the meanest of the two”
Maybe he wants one to knock the other down the ladder a ways so he doesn’t have to fight them back to back if he gets through Gus.
I’m hoping Teixeira knocks him out, since he already acts like he’s beaten him.

    • some dude

I agree, in the idea he wants one to knock the other off the ladder. But also, he needs more tape to study on both fighters, since he currently has no idea how to beat either one. Jon “wussy Boy” Jones, should really focus on the beast he’s about to face Tex!

      • Austin, TX

I agree too. Basically he’s just going. “let him fight even one more guy please so maybe he’ll lose before he and I have to fight again and maybe never. C’mon give him one more chance to lose Dana please!!” Basically that’s what he’s saying.

    • Manuel Lopez

      Well said

    • RubeKegal

      You’re a turd Ferguson

  • terd fergusson

“People who don’t like to think are quick to call me afraid. Think about it, I’m asking for the meanest of the two.”
Who knew Jon “Wussy Boy” Jones was a comedian. People who don’t like to think? Those people he’s addressing all “think” he lost to Gus.

And as for “I’m asking for the meanest of the two.” They both are pretty mean why not fight both? Instead of dictate who is worthy or not.
This statement really comes across as an act of desperation to save face. “Wussy Boy” Jones doesn’t want to face either, is how it reads to me.
    Any thoughts?

    • Liam O’Keefe

“comes across as an act of desperation to save face.” exactly. He wants the UFC to blow his horn for him, prop him up as the baddest man in the planet and fight only who he wants once a year. The UFC wanted to dump him to the wayside after 152. Anything Dana can do to knock him down, he will. I would love to see JJ lose and have to start from the back of the pack.

Omg you guys who think gus won the jones fight are dreaming. He lost every round. The only thing gus did was make him bleed and also make him look like he could be touched up by a better fighter. Jones was dominant. I have a great dislike for jones but cmon ppl he won a well deserved unanimous decision victory. Imo neither dc or gus deserve a shot beating two non top 10 fighters. What about phil davis? He destroyed gus, wheres his shot? He deserves it more than any of these guys

    • drkdisciple

I have no problem with you saying Bones won since I also think he did. However saying that he won every round is just ridiculous. Did you also think GSP won every round against Hendricks?

      • John kimble

I tried to give him a round but jones is far too active landing more shots and constantly pursuing gus. Some rounds were close but imo jones wins every round being more active. I thought the gsp fight was a draw but I only gave hendricks a 10-9 in the round he did the damage in

    • Charles

Every round? Yeah you have a “great dislike” for Jones but are the only person that would ever say he won all round. He won it but only by the last round. It was even leading up to that and he won by a slim margin, if it was Pride rules judging on total damage/finishing effort he’d have lost.

    • Baller31

He lost to Phil Davis, by submission….FOUR YEARS AGO!
He’s obviously not the same fighter, his wrestling has improved tremendously as he’s been the only one to out wrestle jones, and he would destroy Davis now. Oh yeah, and I’m another one of the millions who feel he beat jones. If jones beats Texeira, Gus will finish him

      • some dude

Agree completely with “if’ Wussy Boy” Jones beats Texeira.

        • Sir_Roy

Jones became champ at 23 years old. He was still a kid both mentally and emotionally. He’s only 26 years old today dealing with overnight fame and fortune.

Crap, I was still partying my way through University at that age. Not surprising he’s turning into the Miley Cyrus or Justin Beiber of MMA. Hate the game, not the player?

          • some dude

The player is part of the game. Without players there is no game. He is a grown man and makes his own decisions. Bieber and Miley were children when thrown into the lime light. Making decisions at 18 and 12 years old are pretty big differences as far as mental development goes. Just some food for thought.

      • John kimble

Four years ago yes but who else in the top 10 has gus beaten to even earn a shot at all. Phil Davis beat gus, nog, machida(which was bullshit btw) and doesnt get a shot. machida was #1 contender at the time. Gus beats shogun and gets a shot immediately which is ridiculous imo. It all smells a bit funny to me. I dont think jones will get by texeira

    • Darin

Jones won every round? LOL! Go rewatch that fight. The first two rounds were fairly even as far as striking goes (which is being generous to Jones), but Gus took Jones down at will, something NOBODY else has done, and Gus stuffed Jones’ takedown attempts repeatedly. Gus dominated the first two rounds and the only big moment Jones had was landing an elbow in the 4th, a round that Gus had been winning up to that point. Jones was also looked less tired in the 5th which clinched a very close fight for him. I consider Jones the underdog in a rematch, assuming he gets past Texeira.

      • TheCerealKiller

“The first two rounds were fairly even”

“Gus dominated the first two rounds”

        Stop reading right there.

    • some dude

“The only thing gus did was make him bleed and also make him look like he could be touched up by a better fighter.”

Great statement! That explains why “Wussy Boy” Jones was carried out of the octagon by his trainers to a stretcher, and sent directly to the hospital. Meanwhile Gus gave post fight interviews (while walking around on his own) then went. Yep, he just made him bleed.

      • John kimble

The stretcher part may sound awesome but its irrelevant. Fact is that damage does not carry much weight in current judging criteria. Jones was more active and landed more shots. Jones pursued gus that whole fight and controlled the octagon, landed more shots etc. Just because gus is made of steel doesnt mean he won.

        • Maddawgmar

Do you even UFC, bro? I’ve seen that fight three times, Gus out struck him by least 2-1. Look at the fight metrics. Based on that and damage inflicted he clearly won the first 3 rds, barely won the 4th (debatable) and losses the 5th.

          • Sir_Roy

I don’t disagree, but judges seem, and perhaps rightfully so, extremely partial to reigning champions when a fight comes to an even remotely close decision. Should Jones and GSP have lost their decision? Hey, if they were the challengers they definitely would have.

          • Maddawgmar

Very true. That’s been the way in combat sports for decades, even century. I hate that though, I believe that if you win a round, you win a round, no matter by how much. Oh well. I’ll definitely watch the rematch.

          • RubeKegal

I have no respect for fightmetric. According to FightMetric, Mousasi outstruck Machida by double which is absolutely ridiculous.

          • Maddawgmar

But watch the fight again, Gus clearly out struck Jones and did a ton more damage. In this case Fight Metrics was spot on.

        • some dude

I think your comprehension of my post is off. Where did I even mention the decision or that Gus should have won. I was addressing an asinine statement that was made by you. The statement is listed in my prior post. Please read my comment again and think about what it is I am saying. Then respond accordingly. Thank you.

  • Manuel Lopez

Can’t believe this guy is champ, he is embarrassing himself and not acting like a true champion at all, or a man for that matter. Wow.

  • Mike Oxafloppin

Am I the only one who’s tired of DC whining about wanting a title shot? He’s starting to become another Michael Bisping

  • Maddawgmar

Nick Diaz says to Jon Jones, “don’t be scared, homie?”

  • TheCerealKiller

You Jones haters smell of Shogun/Machida fanboys.

    • Uradouche

Do you go around smelling shogun/machida fanboys???

  • gnodeb

I think AG just make DC looks very bad. He made proper title run. He had a close fight against champ. Then he took risky fight against “unknown” but dangerous opponent. He didn’t wait for time to come to him.

On the other hand, DC did nothing of it. And he expect time to come to him, whatever that means…

    • shakejunt

dc doesn’t need any help making himself look bad. “guys, i would’ve finished manuwa too. no disrespect.” that’s unnecessary.

    • anonymous

It’s not DC’s fault rashad got injured.

DC’s not trying to take the easy way out, he just got unlucky.

  • Eric

So stupid that this is on the new page.
