M-1 Global, a new mixed martial arts organization, on Monday announced<br /> the signing of the most sought after fighter in the worl

M-1 Global,
a new mixed martial arts organization, on Monday announced the signing of the
most sought after fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko, at a press
conference in New York.

Before a
packed house full of media, Emelianenko, his manager Vadim Finkelchtein, and
M-1 Global officers presented both Emelianenko and the new promotion to world.

Presenting
the promotion as a truly global organization, Emelianenko indicated that was
one of the primary reasons that he decided to sign with M-1 and shied away from
the Ultimate Fighting Championship and various other organizations.

And now
that he has finally found a promotional home, the questions have started to
swirl about opposition for the world’s No.1 ranked fighter. Still working out
his contractual issues with the UFC, Randy Couture quickly came to the fore as
someone that Emelianenko and Finkelchtein would like to face.

“It would
be an honor for me to fight him,” said Emelianenko of the former UFC
heavyweight champion.

But
Finkelchtein was quick to add another interesting name into the mix. “We would
like to fight (Rickson) Gracie because he makes these statements that he knows
how to fight to defeat Fedor.

“Truthfully,
there are a lot of fighters that are on the ten best list.”

Emelianenko
and Finkelchtein fielded these and many more questions both href="http://www.mmaexclusives.com/member-inthecage.php">In The Cage with
