Our friends over at Whoa TV recently went in-depth with former Pride heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko, who touched on a number of subjects, but focused heavily on his retirement, his dealings with the UFC, and a discussion about women in mixed martial arts.
Among other things, Fedor reiterated that he is retired and isn’t interested in fighting the likes of Brock Lesnar in the UFC or anywhere else, “even if it was like $10 million. … There will be no more fights.”
He also had a strong opinion on women in the cage, saying, “Women shouldn’t compete in the UFC and MMA because this sport is for men. There are a lot of beautiful sports where women look like women like gymnastics, water sports, maybe some athletics.”
