With three title fights taking place on the upcoming World Extreme Cagefighting show on Dec. 12, the promotion lost one of their undercard bouts as the fight between Chance Farrar and Micah Miller has been removed from the card as confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by Miller’s training partner, Blake Bowman.
Farrar suffered an injury that forced him out of the fight according to Bowman.
Bowman stated that the WEC tried to put another fighter in place to face Miller at the last minute, but an opponent was not secured in time.
No details have been released from the WEC regarding the status of the injury to Farrar or the timeline for his return to the organization.
Miller has been fast rising in the WEC’s ever growing 145-pound weight class, but suffered the first loss of his career in his last bout against Cub Swanson in June.
The remainder of the card remains unchanged and features championship bouts in the featherweight, middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.
