They’re
both stepping into the cage at World Extreme Cagefighting tonight in Las Vegas,
Nev. looking to walk away with gold strapped around their wastes. They’re both
looking for the respect that comes along with such an achievement.

In these
exclusive video interviews In
The Cage with MMAWeekly.com
, Carlos Condit and Dominic Cruz talk about
their thoughts on the cusp of championship glory.

Carlos
Condit has worked his way up through the trenches. He shocked everyone with
successive victories over Renato “Charuto” Verissimo and Frank Trigg in the
Rumble on the Rock 175-pound Grand Prix tournament before succumbing to Jake
Shields by decision in the finals. Tonight, Condit steps in to face UFC veteran
John Alessio for another shot at the gold. The vacant WEC Welterweight
Championship is up for grabs and Condit plans on walking out of the cage with
the belt around his waste.

Having
fought up through the ranks of Rage in the Cage and taken home two different
championships in Total Combat, Dominic Cruz knows what it means to be a
champion. But tonight, he faces the toughest test of his career. Tonight he
faces who most consider the top 145-pound fighter in the United States in
Urijah Faber. Cruz is unfettered, as he believes that he will be able to rest
away the title from Faber, finally earning the attention that he feels is long
overdue.
