The main portion of EliteXC’s fight card is being telecast tonight on the Showtime premium cable network. The 5-fight undercard is being streamed live over the Internet, if you have the Windows operating system and Internet Explorer 6 or 7 according to the Pro Elite web site, at ProElite.com.

The main fight card on Showtime begins at 10pm ET, while the streaming broadcast on ProlElite.com begins at 7pm ET. Updates will start on MMAWeekly.com as the fights happen.
MAIN CARD (TELEVISED ON SHOWTIME)
FRANK SHAMROCK VS. RENZO GRACIE
R1: Shamrock looks solid on his feet throwing leg kicks early but after clinching with Renzo against the cage, he’s taken down. Gracie maintained side control and also secured a second takedown later in the round. MMAWeekly scores the 1st round 10-9 Renzo Gracie
R2: Gracie again starts the round with another takedown. While on the ground, Gracie was working on side control when Shamrock kneed him twice to the side of the head, causing Herb Dean to stop the action due to the illegal knee strike to the head on the ground. Gracie rolled over in obvious pain and unfortunately was unable to continue.
Renzo Gracie wins by disqualification due to illegal knee strikes to the head while on the ground from Frank Shamrock 2:00 Round 2.
WESLEY “CABBAGE” CORREIRA VS. ANTONIO SILVA
R1: Antonio Silva came out with fast hands and very effective striking. After getting Cabbage to the ground, it looked like Silva could finish the fight but Correira made it back to the feet. Another exchange and Silva landed a devastating knee strike that put Cabbage down on the mat where the Brazilian jumped in and finished the fight.

JOEY VILLASENOR VS. DAVID LOISEAU
R1: Villasenor controls the entire round with multiple takedowns, landing good elbows and knees from side control and mount. Loiseau gave up his back a number of times but was able to get a takedown of his own late in the round. MMAWeekly scores the 1st round 10-9 Villasenor
R2: Another one sided round with Villasenor in complete control. Multiple takedowns while peppering Loiseau with elbows and knees to the body served up to another round for Villasenor. MMAWeekly scores the 2nd round 10-9 Villasenor
R3: Villasenor came out with another great round of stand-up against a well known stand-up fighter in Loiseau. The New Mexico native landed a big right hand that floored Loiseau but the Canadian survived and the fight ended. MMAWeekly scores the 3rd round 10-9 Villasenor.
Joey Villasenor wins by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27?
JULIE KEDZIE VS. GINA CARANO
R1: Carano dominates the 1st round with heavy strikes. Kedzie tried to clinch with Carano throughout but she was over powered at every turn. When the fight hit the ground, Carano controlled and put the fight back on the feet. MMAWeekly scores Round 1 10-9 for Carano
R2: Another dominant round for Carano. The muay thai champion hit shot after shot on Kedzie and almost finished the fight with a big punch towards the close of the round. MMAWeekly scores Round 2 10-9 for Carano
R3: Kedzie gets Carano down early in the round but isn’t able to capitalize before being reversed and the fight came back to the feet. There, Carano again dominated and looked to be the much stronger fighter, pushing Kedzie around as it was for much of the fight. MMAWeekly scores Round 3 10-9 Carano
Gina Carano wins by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)
CHARLES BENNETT VS. K.J. NOONS
R1: Noons comes out and lands some good leg kicks. Both fighters were tentative to engage but just as the two started to throw, Crazy Horse lands a huge right hand that put Noons down causing Herb Dean to step in and stop the fight.

CHRIS GATES VS. RIKI FUKUDA
R1: Fukuda gets the early takedown and starts working the ground and pound. Gates had little to no defense and is forced to tap out at 1:17 of the 1st Round.

JOHN SHAKELFORD VS. EDSON BERTO
R1: Berto looked crisper with his stand-up, but when he threw a flying knee got caught in a takedown. Shackelford couldn’t produce much offense on the ground and was eventually reversed. Close round. MMAWeekly scores the 1st round 10-9 for Berto
R2: Berto opens with good technique standing, hitting a thunderous body kick and following up with a punch that put Shackelford on his back. After some ground and pound, Shackelford tried to reverse into a heel hook or knee bar but got caught underneath and Berto unloaded numerous hammer fists which caused the referee to stop the fight.

ADRIANO PEREIRA VS. JAVIER VAZQUEZ
R1: Pereira opened up with a takedown and some ground and pound on Vazquez. Javier was able to defend but did end up with a cut on or above his nose. Once the fight was back on the feet, Vazquez looked more dominant but never put any real combinations together. MMAWeekly scores the 1st round 10-9 for Pereira
R2: Vazquez started the round with some solid stand-up followed by a takedown. Javy mounted Pereira and started to unleash punches and elbows but couldn’t finish his opponent. Periera did manage a reversal at the close of the round. MMAWeekly scores the 2nd round 10-9 for Vazquez
R3: Both fighters look exhausted but Vazquez looked better standing, basically stalking Pereira throughout the round. Late in the round, Pereira did get a takedown but the fight ended. MMAWeekly scores the 3rd round 10-9 for Vazquez
Javier Vazquez wins by split decision (29-28, 27-29, 29-28)
MIKE PYLE VS. ROSS EBANEZ: Mike Pyle wins by submission (rear naked choke). 1:55 1st Round.
Pyle opened with leg kicks and soon after Ebanez threw one of his own, only to be taken down by Pyle. In just moments, Pyle transitioned to take Ebanez’s back and locked in a rear naked choke and the Hawaiian was forced to tap out.
