Ultimate Warrior Challenge on Saturday night returned to the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., for UWC 7: Redemption. Bantamweight champion Mike Easton held on to his title and Pat Runez captured the vacant flyweight championship.

“I was killing him standing up. It was a close fight, but it is what it is… It was controversial,” said Easton after earning a split decision over former WEC champion Chase Beebe. “I enjoyed that fight. I love those kinds of fights. I’m the champ, gotta beat the Champ!”

Runez was also won a close one to put the gold around his waist. He earned a split decision over seasoned veteran John Dodson. “As long as UWC keeps bringing in quality opponents like John Dodson, I’ll be ready to come back and defend the belt.”
