UFCIreland470-270Irish fans finally have a UFC event returning to their country, as promotion officials on Thursday revealed a return to Dublin is scheduled for July 19.

No fights were announced for Dublin, but having a date to mark down on the calendar should temporarily satiate Irish fans that have been clamoring for the promotion’s return since 2009. That was when the UFC last held an even in Ireland, which also took place in Dublin at the O2 Dublin Arena.

The UFC also announced a May 31 date for its return to Germany, with a UFC Fight Night event slated for Berlin, and indicated that Scotland is now on the radar.

While nothing is put to pen and paper for Scotland, Garry Cook, the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of UFC EMEA, said that the promotion could debut in Glasgow as soon as 2015.

I’m sure the European marketing ploy that is Conor McGregor will be on this card. He is clearly not talented enough to ever contend for the featherweight title.

So true, and at 25 years of age he will not have time to realize his potential. Hes a good marketing ploy and he’ll get better while having fun fights.
