Dream Dynamite!! 2010 Will Air Live on HDNet in the U.S.

HDNet on Friday revealed plans to carry Dream’s Dynamite!! 2010 New Year’s Eve extravaganza live on the network. Dynamite!! will begin at 1 a.m. PT / 4 a.m. ET.

A fight featuring Strikeforce and K-1 World Grand Prix champion Alistair Overeem and UFC veteran Todd Duffee, although not officially announced, is expected as part of the fight card. MMAWeekly.com sources on Friday indicated that the fight is all but signed. Duffee is expected to receive a contract sometime after Christmas Day.

Dream LogoThere are also two title fights on the card. Dream welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis, who has been nursing an injury, has decided to remain on the card to defend his belt against legendary Japanese fighter Kazushi Sakuraba.

Featherweight champion Bibiano Fernandes will defend his belt in a rematch with Hiroyuki Takaya. Fernandes defeated Takaya by split decision in the final bout of the Dream Featherweight Grand Prix to win the title. He has since defended it against Joachim Hansen at Dream 13. Takaya enters the bout on a two-fight winning streak that includes victories over Hansen and former WEC champion Chase Beebe.
