Hard to believe at one time, Joe “Diesel” Riggs fought as a heavyweight taking on guys like Cabbage Correira in his career. Now the slimmed down version of the “Diesel” fights at 185. That was until this next UFC. Riggs will be making his debut at 170 at the next UFC!
Riggs was supposed to fight Pete “Drago” Sell at UFC 55, but a knee injury forced Sell out of the fight. “I wanted to fight Ed Herman of Team Quest, but for whatever reason he turned it down. I wanted to fight period so I’m going to drop to 170 and fight Chris Lytle.”
Chris “Lights Out” Lytle, last fought in the UFC last February when he lost a decision to Karo Parisyan. Lytle does have wins in the UFC over Ronald Jhun at UFC 49 and and Tiki at UFC 47.
