Although original speculation that Dennis Siver would square off with Ross Pearson at UFC on Fuel TV 2 in Sweden on April 14 turned out to be inaccurate, it appears that the Russian-born fighter will be on the fight card.
Siver (19-8) will match up with Diego Nunes in Stockholm, according to a report by Swedish website MMAnytt.se.
The bout will mark Siver’s first at featherweight. He made the decision to drop down following a loss to Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in a lightweight bout.

A winner in four consecutive fights prior to the Cerrone bout, Siver was always regarded as one of the stronger fighters at lightweight. He will be a rather sizeable opponent in the featherweight class.
Fighting under the Zuffa banner for several years, dating back to the WEC days, Nunes (17-2) has bounced in and out of title contention at 145 pounds. He was derailed by Kenny Florian at UFC 131, but bounced back against Manny Gamburyan at UFC 141. A win over Siver would likely make him one of the top contenders to Jose Aldo’s UFC championship.
