Listen tonight as Denis Kang check’s in with Damon & Jeff on MMAWeekly Radio

Following an up and down start to the beginning of his career, Denis Kang has been on the rise over the past couple of years. In his last 22 bouts, he has amassed a 21-1-1 record and propelled himself to the #6 ranking in the MMAWeekly.com middleweight world MMA rankings.

Making a tremendous effort in last year’s Pride Bushido tournament, Kang lost a split decision in the finals to Kazuo Misaki… even with a torn biceps muscle. After healing up, he returned to competition this past March at Spirit MC in Korea. In a unanimous decision victory, Kang defeated Junggyu Choi, but broke his hand in the process.

With his hand getting better, Kang is back in training and ready to go, still under contract with Pride. But with Pride’s future in limbo pending the sale of the promotion from Dream Stage Entertainment to the Fertitta brothers, Kang’s future is also in limbo.

Listen tonight at Denis Kang check’s in with Damon & Jeff on MMAWeekly Radio with the free live broadcast at 6pm PT / 9pm ET.
