Daniel Pineda vs. Robert Whiteford Added to UFC 171 Fight Card

34-Daniel-Pineda-TUF-17-Finale-wA fight between Dustin Pineda and Robert Whiteford has been added to the UFC 171 card in Dallas, UFC officials announced on Saturday.

The fight is expected to land on the preliminary portion of the fight card, which takes place on March 15 in Dallas.

Pineda (18-10) is looking to get back in the win column with UFC 171. In his last fight, Pineda went the distance with Diego Brandao, dropping a unanimous nod in the effort. He is 3-3 in the Octagon.

Whiteford (10-2) is also looking to get back to his winning ways with the Dallas card. In his most recent outing, the Scottish fighter was submitted by Jimmy Hettes at UFC Fight Night 30. The loss was his UFC debut.

UFC 171 will be headlined by a fight for the vacant welterweight title between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.
