MMAWeekly TV caught up with Dan Henderson down at his training center in Temecula, California as he was preparing for his upcoming fight in the Pride Bushido GP on August 26th in Japan.
The interesting part is that Henderson didn’t want to fight in the Welterweight Bushido GP. Henderson told MMAWeekly, “I really didn’t want to do the tournament to begin with…I was a little bit injured at that point. He said that he “would have been about 60%” at that time. Originally, he wanted to participate in the Open Weight GP but he said that it didn’t matter since he became injured anyways.
Pride DSE decided to give Henderson a bye into the second round of the Bushido GP which Hendo just recently accepted to participate in. Henderson is now getting ready for Kazuo Misaki, who he has fought before and beaten in Pride Bushido.
