Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone will fight for the fifth time in 2011 when he faces Nate Diaz at UFC 141 to close out the year.

The former WEC title hopeful is now starting to inch closer and closer to UFC title contention with his dominant wins this year.

Count UFC President Dana White as a Cowboy fan.

The promotion’s head honcho loves the way the New Mexico based fighter goes out and always gets the job done, and says that Cowboy reminds him of another famously aggressive and nasty fighter in the UFC.

“I like the way he fights. He’s mean and nasty. You talk about a guy like Nick Diaz, Cerrone isn’t too far from a Nick Diaz, he just isn’t as public,” said White.

Check out what White had to say about Cerrone in this exclusive video:

Not that he would want to, but I think Cowboy is somebody who could move up or down in weight class and still dominate. He’s just a solid fighter.

I was very impressed with Cerrone’s victory over Siver, but how does this guy get top 10? Outside of Siver he has only beaten the bottom of the barrell guys in the UFC. His fight resume is not that impressive. He beats Nate, then I’ll give him props. Outside of losing to Ben Henderson twice, this will be Cerrone’s toughest fight.

I ve hear the Cerrone’s name since the WEC, I like his fighting style and agressiveness. I really hope he kicks the MANURE out of that skinny, slinky, cocky, rude, a$$hole, idiot, priceless, disgusting fighter, dumb,
no-class, no-respect, no-personality, A$$$$$$HOLE! I will never like the Diaz even if the become ChUmps! If that ever happens, I will never watch any of their PPV’s.

You got issues dude. I’m sorry the Diaz brothers whoop up on your cookie-cutter fighters.
