Anderson Silva is the greatest fighter in UFC history, and Chael Sonnen almost beat him. Will he be able to pull of the upset this time and snatch the belt from the long-reigning champ?
As we get ready to find out at UFC 148 on Saturday night, check out Countdown to UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen below…
Anderson Silva pits his brilliant Muay Thai skills against then-UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin in the fight that changed the course of MMA history.
The question is floating around the internet ether... did
For a long time people thought Anderson Silva was
Terrion Ware is ready to take a step up
Lets not forget Sonnen cheated the first time and had 16-1 testosterone.
Sonnen did get permission to cheat this time- but can only have 6-1.
Silva had a fractured rib the first time. This will be a totally different fight. I don’t think it will be a first round KO as I think Silva is going to play with him so he can do as much damage as possible.
And for the slow kid Pubekagel; Condit Condit Condit Condit Condit
Bobby boy, still think Diaz beat Condit? LOL!!!
It’s no secret that Chale’s weak point is BJJ. The guy’s been submitted 9x(sherdog record) in his career. Mostly by Armbars and Triangles. Anderson didn’t get lucky. He found an opening and capitalized on it perfectly. That’s a true champ in my book. Always looking for openings until the last bell… and he got it. Can’t say the same for chale. The guy believes he doesn’t need to work off his back. That’ll be his downfall if he ever faces another world class grappler like Maia. He better hope he faces strikers if he gets that belt, because it’ll go away quick once another world class submission grapplers makes his way to MW.
8 submission losses not 9. Also Chael is now working with Magalhaes. If you think he’s going to get submitted, think again.
“I would never wrap my legs around a mans head and feel good about myself”- Chale Sonnen
Because it’s usually other men wrapping their legs around his head and tapping him out.
(Anderson Silva, Paulo Filho, Demian Maia, Babalu, Forrest Griffin). Call me a keyboard warrior…these are just facts. The guy is delusional and has had a fair share of nuts in his mouth(i.e 5 guys). You would think he would’ve learned to defend a triangle by the time he got to Anderson.
Filho didn’t triangle Chael, get ya facts straight fool.
You think by the time Anderson Silva got to Ryo Chonan, he’d learn to defend a heel hook.
That was the first time Anderson silva ever got Heel hooked. Chael has been triangled multiple times. After being submitted once by a heal hook and a triangle..Anderson never made the same mistake again…fool
Sonnen is donkey
If Sonnen couldn’t finish silva in the first fight after 23 minutes of doing what he did, he needs a decision to win, like always. I don’t see this fight going 5 rnds. Silva by tko, or he might even reverse tea bag Sonnen again just to prove either his sub defense still sucks or he loves gargling on testicles.
