Following his UFC 178 first-round finish of Dustin Poirier, UFC president Dana White said Conor McGregor was likely next in line for a title shot and would face the winner of champion Jose Aldo and top contender Chad Mendes. On Wednesday, McGregor said he would not be waiting on a title fight through a series of tweets.

Aldo and Mendes meet in the UFC 179 main event on Oct. 24 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. McGregor would rather say active than wait around on the sidelines for a title fight.

Expect an announcement of who he’ll face next in the coming days.

Ufc 183 Silva vs Diaz co-main event against Nate assuming Diaz gets past Dos Anjos.

Dana doesn’t like ppl just jumping weight classes willy-nilly. Conor will stay at 145 for the time being

Conor is average and is getting alot of fake hype. Never has been any tough Irish champion in anything but drinking booze. Irish are a bunch of loudmouths being run by the British for centuries.

    • MuayThaiFood

Are you Irish then? The reason I’m asking is that you come off as a drunken loudmouth in your posts and seem like the type who can’t balance his own checkbook or pump his own gas.

I remember you saying recently that Connor was great. Nate is in another division. You really are a stupid drunk, aren’t you?

Connor wants to fight at lightweight and was willing to go to lightweight to fight Diego Sanchez. Maybe Dana would realize how much money would be made just from the trash talk.

a Conor Mcgregor vs Michael McDonald fight would be interesting.

    • Maddawgmar

Except Michael McDonald fights in the 135 division.

    • TwoFirstNames

      Wrong weight division…

  • Maddawgmar

Ricardo Llamas might be a good fight. Not sure if he has anything lined up.

    • TwoFirstNames

He’s fighting Dennis Bermudez. Where the f— have you been?

      • shakejunt

        no need to get hostile.

if he beats bermudez, that’d be a good fight to make.

  • ceareal mom

    Never saw this guy fight.

Appears to talk a alot of smack to promote himself.

Wouldn’t take him seriously until he beats someone relevant.

    • shakejunt

poirier may never fight for the title, but he is certainly relevant. this guy is a loudmouth for sure, but you should probably watch his fights before making an analysis.

The poor Irish deserve a temporary hero so let little mini 1/2 man Conor be the at hero. But Conor is not that good and will be exposed soon as a typical Irish fraud.
