With a week to go to Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz II, the current UFC light heavyweight champ joins MMAWeekly Radio LIVE tonight at 6pm PST / 9pm EST.

In a 6 month span, Chuck Liddell dropped bouts to both Randy Couture and Quinton Jackson. Since that time, he has gone on to win six straight fights over the likes of Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Jeremy Horn, Vernon “Tiger” White, and twice against Randy Couture. But he started off that winning streak by knocking out former training partner Tito Ortiz. On Saturday, December 30th, the Iceman looks to repeat that feat at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Javier Vazquez, once the King of the Cage lightweight champ, lost his title in an epic battle with jiujitsu expert Alberto Crane early in 2003. Vazquez blew out his knee just moments into the first round, but fought through the pain only to lose a split decision. He fought only once more after that bout, winning later in the year against Robert Emerson. On February 10th, Vazquez expects to step back into MMA competition as part of the new Showtime/Pro Elite partnership.

Join MMAWeekly Radio’s Damon Martin & Jeff Cain LIVE tonight at 6pm PST / 9pm EST to talk with the champ, Chuck Liddell, as he prepares for the rematch with Ortiz and to find out if he thinks this fight will play out any differently than the first and to learn more about Javier Vazquez’ return to mixed martial arts.
