Chael Sonnen and Michael BispingMichael Bisping’s actions at UFC 127 earned him a victory, but it also may have prodded a hornet’s nest. The one looking to sting the Brit next is a returning Chael Sonnen.

Still considered the top middleweight contender in the UFC, was able obtain an email sent from Sonnen to UFC matchmaker Joe Silva requesting a fight against Bisping in the near future.

Re: Spitsbing & his tainted victory

If you get a chance to talk with him, please mention to your idiot-in-residence Michael Spitsbing it’ll be a little tougher to knee ME in the head when I’m charging at him like a runaway train and mincing him through the fence like a boiled potato, should we ever have the pleasure of each other’s company for a few (VERY few) moments in the Octagon.

Oh; and I’d suggest to him being a little careful about spitting on any of MY cornermen, since any one of them can beat him up as badly as I can. Thanks ever so much.
Hope all is well.

-Chael Sonnen

When UFC 127 ended, many fans immediately started asking about a potential fight between Sonnen and Bisping, who have exchanged words in the past.

Sonnen’s manager, Mike Roberts of MMA Inc., echoed the sentiments of his client, and his desire to face Bisping when he returns to action.

“I’ve had the chance to talk to Chael and he absolutely has Michael Bisping in his crosshairs and wants to fight him,” Roberts told “Chael welcomes the chance to face him in the UFC and give the fans what they want.”

Sonnen is awaiting a return to action after a hiatus from fighting due to personal issues, but now it appears he’s ready to start stirring things up, and the first person on his hit list is Michael Bisping.

The brash Brit ruffled more than a few feathers with his post fight antics when he spit in the corner of opponent Jorge Rivera after their fight ended in Australia. Bisping has also come under heavy criticism for an illegal knee strike that he landed on Rivera in the first round, although he’s stated several times it was purely accidental.

Vitor Belfort also hit Twitter recently to state his desire to face Bisping.

There has been no date for when Sonnen might return to action, but a fight against Bisping might just be the fight the UFC would want for him.

Not condoning the actions of Bisbing, kneeing and spitting, but have we overlooked the immature videos of Jorge Rivera? There are ways to hype a fight, trying to be a youtube viral video is sad and pathetic. I am a Bisbing fan and was dissapointed by the marred victory, but Jorge and his cornerman went after him malicously and they got a reaction, it just wasn’t the reaction they wanted! Boo Hoo! Now Sonnen is talking? Sonnen is a steroidal money laundring cheat, if anybody has something to say about morales it is definately not him! He should keep his mouth shut and be thankful he’s got a job fighting in the UFC…Piece of SHIT!

It’s Bisping not Bisbing. Bisping went way beyond what a few silly videos did. Those were kinda funny and if I were Michael and being a professional, i would have just laughed them off. Made a video back. Intentionally kneeing someone in the head….raising your hands up and telling your corner “he’s a pussy” while waiting for your opponent to get up is bullshit. , The spitting at his corner men and all that happened after wards just added icing to the cake.
Also Chael was under the medical direction of a doctor for low levels of testosterone. This affects the brain, bone and muscle mass, fat distribution, the vascular system, energy levels, genital tissues, and sexual functioning. He didn’t report it the right way and I think he assumed too. Doesn’t make him a cheater like say….Josh Barnett. Yup he money laundered and is paying for it. Others have done far worse.

Mispell on the name, my bad, like I said, I don’t think what he did was any sorts of ok but I don’t see making degrading videos a part of the sport. As for Sonnen, why was this not brought up in previous fights? If he has a history of this condition wouldn’t medical records prove his case? If this was brought up I didn’t hear about it, and if it was then fine, and yes people have done worse. But it seems that MMA has not gotten to the point of the arrogance of other pro sports and has yet to see the problems from the athletes that the NFL, NBA, and MLB have had to deal with, and to see videos, personal attacks and other crap other than fight hype; I hope it doesn’t follow suit.

He does has medical records to prove it. He was diagnosed with hypogonadism in 2008. He just didn’t disclose it properly on the paperwork. I think the trash talk is always going to be a part of combative sports. It has a lot to do with mental as it does physical. Jorge obviously got into Bisping’s head and caused the reaction that it did. It worked and Michael went a little crazy. Being a professional you should realize that and not let it get to you. I have to agree that I hope it doesn’t continue with the poor sportsmenship and the UFC nips it in the bud quick. I stopped watching the NBA cause of all the bs involved there.

Well, it will be a huge hype for whoever fights Bisping next, i’d like to see him fight either Sonnen or Belfort. He needs to get tested by tougher competition, fight a guy that will put him up the ranks if he wins. We all saw what Sonnen can do, not so sure on Belfort, too quick to say on his fights. But I like Vitor as a fighter and a professional, no shit with him. But i agree, haven’t watched NBA since the late 90’s, the last few years of football have been tough with all the crap off and on the field. The sport needs to set it’s boundries and stick with them, no wish wash with Dana!

i see your point but they’re pumped up and ready for war, after weeks of abuse, bisping reacted, all this negativity is over the top, he spat in the direction of the bawbag cornerman, its like marking his territory and on that night, the octagon was his, illegal knee or not

  • Sonnen would murderize Bisping.

  • bruisermoore

They would definitely have to do this fight old UFC rules, no-holds barred style. Whether officially or not, both of these are gonna cheat in some way if current rules are used. They will be roidin up, spitting, knee downed opponents in the head and probably eye goughing, fish hooking and ball blasting ala Keith Hackney on Joe Son. Yeah sounds like a great fight if this were 1992.

  • Prodigy815

Yea Sonnen would beat most people when he’s on the juice except Anderson and Maia =)

    • Frye557

      and Jeremy Horn….3 times…

    • armendo420

i can c u dont no what u talkin about!!!! lol he was suspended bcuz of medication he was takin they already ruled it the other way!!!! so try again budd!!! sonnen will kill anyone in the division!!!! but now his new charges for tax frawed nd shit he might be gone for a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Frye557

Who are you replying to? I never said he was on roids. Obviously he can’t destroy anyone in the division seeing as he lost twice in the UFC middle weight class in his last five fights.

      • pbgod1

They already said he will just get probation and his real estate license taken away.

  • The_Power

Sonnen may get sentenced to prison so he should wait until after his court hearing to make match requests.

    • Frye557

I thought his plea bargain ensured that he wouldn’t have to do any time? Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought he already had his hearing and that was the outcome of it.

      • armendo420

he did for the performance inhansing drug yes! nd he lost his relators license!! but he is still waitin on out come c if he is goin to jail or thee octagon!!!

        • pbgod1

He wont see any jail time. Probation for 2 years, 10000 dollar fine, and loss of his real estate license.

      • pbgod1

yup he had his hearing and they plea bargained for probation. He just has to go to the sentencing part.

        • Frye557

That’s what I thought. At least someone else pays attention.

  • LiveStrong77

Chaelbear, LMAO! Like him or hate him, he does know how to entertain.
