Chael Sonnen Declares He is Champion, Offers Anderson Silva Shot at ‘True Belt’ (video)

After defeating Brian Stann at UFC 136 in Houston, Chael Sonnen once again declared himself the real middleweight champion and offered Anderson Silva a shot at the “true belt.”

    Hate him or love him, he is an entertainer for sure.

    I am not a Chael Sonnen fan simply because he is a clown. But the way he man-handled Brian Stann proved that he is one of the best MWs in the world.

    As a MW this guy has defeated some of the best in the world, Paulo Filho, Nate Marquart, and Yushin Okami.

    I am not gonna say that Brian Stann was a tough fight for him. I thought Stann had a lot of UFC hype behind him and Chael exposed that hype. But Chael did look impressive.

    Chael Sonnen might be the best middleweight out there and he may be presumed to be a tough guy, but I don’t think I have heard so much whinning and crying since Bernard Hopkins got his butt kicked by Jermaine Taylor. Chael and Matt Lindland are the same cry babies!!! Jesus!!! I still remember Chael screaming from being submitted by Babalu and how he tapped to Forrest Griffin all those years back. What a Nancy!!!!

    Anderson Silva made Chael Sonnen quit. Sonnen Gave up. Then he fails a drug test after the fight. He Couldnt beat Silva even whe he cheated. Then he claims he is the real champ. I could understand a comment like that if the fight was a razor thin controversial decision. But the reality is that Silva finished him cleanly.If Dana White was more than just a chubby wind bag he would make Sonnen fight for free, then all his crap he is saying wont result in him getting a big pay day to lose again. Sonnen is a convicted con-artist so anyone who believes he will leave the U.F.C. when he loses is a fool. CHAEL SONNEN YOU ABSOLUTLEY SUCK!

    Chael Sonnem is a sorry ass LOSER!!!!! You can tell by the way he express him self, He’s Scared!!!!! He IS A F…. LOSER!!!!!!! He will never be a champion!!! Get real the guy took so much steroids the he’s so f..up…. watch I would be surprise if he got caught again!!!!!

    I must have missed that fight when he beat Silva. Ohh wait, YOU LOST CHAEL. Even if you would have won that fight, you would have been stripped of it. I would be rootiing for this guy against silva butI want him to lose so he can eat his words. My worry is that UFC might become wwe, in terms of hyping fights. I mean come on “I will leave the UFC forever” REALLY?

    I have trained BJJ, and MMA, for almost 5 years. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter if Chael beat his ass for 4 rounds, (which he didn’t look at his face vs. Anderson’s in the post fight) all that matters is that when Anderson “Wrapped his legs around Chael”s neck for 8 seconds”, Anderson had the ability, and was in the position, to KILL Chael Sonnen. If it was a street fight, in Chael’s scenario, an Anderson decided not to let go, he could have ended Chael’s life. A win due to submission, doesn’t get the respect it should, because when a person submits, his opponent lets go. And spares a broken arm, leg, or brain for that matter.
