Former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit returns to action for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in a fight against Tyron Woodley in March 2014 to take on Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 67.
UFC president Dana White announced the May 30 main event during the UFC 189 World Tour press conference in Brazil on Friday.
The 30-year-old Albuquerque native has lost three of his last four fights and plans to return to contender status in the 170-pound division now that he’s fully healed.
Alves is coming off back-to-back wins and hopes to take out the No. 4-ranked Condit on his quest to return to title contention.
UFC Fight Night 67 takes place at Goiânia Arena in Goiânia, Brazil on May 30.
