Press Release
Cage Warriors: Showdown – 16th September, Sheffield, UK

Warrior Promotions are pleased to announce the updated Cage Warriors: Showdown card, which is due to take place at the Octagon Centre, Sheffield on Saturday 16th September.

This show will feature a 13 bout fight card which consists of several top level European and Domestic bouts and features a long awaited main event between top Welterweight contenders Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy and Danny Rushton.

This show is also highlighted by a CWFC Lightweight Title bout as reigning champion Alexandre “Xandinho” Izidro looks to silence the critics and win the CWFC Title outright when he faces the talented German all rounder Franco “Ortega” de Leonardis.

Warrior Promotions are also pleased to announce that long time UK MMA star Matt Ewin will make his return to Cage Warriors when he faces the ex-ATT member Thiago “Jambo” Goncalves of the European Pro Team in Middleweight action. Other featured bouts include Northern Cartel members Matt 12 Gauge Thorpe and Ian “M-16″ Butlin in action against the experienced German star Peter Angerer and the Welshman Phil Raeburn respectively.

The international flavour continues with another ex-ATT member Marcello Salazar (now with the European Pro Team) taking on young up and comer Tom Kong Watson, whilst Showdown will also see the first UK appearance of Karl Amoussou, who is the younger brother of the Pride Bushido veteran Bertrand Amoussou.

All the bouts will take place inside the full sized 32ft CWFC Octagonal Cage, which makes its return to the Octagon Centre after a break of nearly 2 years, as Cage Warriors continues to highlight some of the best UK and European talent on their shows.
