Press Release
The card for the long-awaited Cage Warriors: Enter The Rough House has been released, and it features two title bouts, along with a mix of up-and-coming UK and European talent.

Dougie Truman and Warrior Promotions are proud to announce the latest card for their first show in Nottingham, as on Saturday 9th December they will unleash Cage Warriors: Enter the Rough House at the Harvey Hadden Centre. This show will highlight several fighters from Nottingham’s own Team Rough House and will also feature fighters from the nearby Tap or Snap/Derby Shoot gym.

Headlining the bill is the former CWFC World Welterweight Champion Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy (12-5-0-1nc) as he faces off against the current CWFC World Lightweight Champion Alexandre “Xandinho” Izidro (6-4-0) for the vacant under 73kg CWFC World Title.

This bout is a rematch of their clash in June 2005 at King Of The Cage UK, where Hardy left the Sheffield Ice Arena with a razor thin decision victory over the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt (who was a last minute replacement). Since then Izidro has gone on a 4 fight Cage Warriors win streak, which has seen him defeat the likes on Thomas Hytten, Mario Stapel, Jani Lax and Franco de Leonardis.

However Dan Hardy has also made a name for himself and went on to win the CWFC Welterweight World Title at CW Strike Force 4 in an epic bout against Matt “12 Gauge” Thorpe. Hardy then defended the Title against Diego Gonzalez at CW Strike Force 5, before his career was temporarily derailed by 2 controversial decision losses against UFC Veteran Forrest Petz in the USA and Pride Bushido veteran David Baron in Holland. However Hardy bounced back in emphatic style with a 1st round victory over respected UK veteran Danny Rushton at CW Showdown 1 back in September.

However no love is lost between the two camps and “Xandinho” has been preparing in Brazil as he looks to win his second CW World Title, whilst Hardy will be looking to take the vacant Title before returning to the international arena early next year.

The Cage Warriors team have also managed to secure an intriguing CWFC Middleweight World Title clash between Pride Bushido veteran and former Title challenger Gregory Bouchelaghem (5-3-0) and the 2h2h: Road to Japan -93kg winner Jordan Radev (10-1-0). This Title is now available due to previous Champion Martin Kampmann relinquishing ownership of the Title Belt due to his commitments with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The other featured bout of the night sees the House of Pain and Cage Gladiators British Champion Jim Wallhead take on the powerful German striker Dennis Siver in Welterweight action. Wallhead who also won the under 83kg 2h2h Road to Japan Tournament in Holland back in June, will look to secure his status as one of Europe’s top 77kg fighters, when he fights Siver who reached the final of the 8 man Cage Warriors “Enter the Wolfslair” tournament back in March.

This show will also see several other professional bouts featuring the former local boxing star Wayne Buck, the K-1 UK kickboxer Chris Cooper as well as more up and coming UK and European talent.

Finally Cage Warriors are also proud to announce that they will be using Throwdown Gloves courtesy of Total Aggression Fight Gear www.tafg.co.uk (Exclusive UK Distributors of Throwdown Fightgear) http://www.throwdownfightgear.com. These gloves are the newest MMA Fight Glove to hit the UK and are Commission approved for all MMA fights. We are also pleased to announce that TAFG will be at “Enter the Rough House” on December 9th selling Throwdown gear along with many other brands. Cage Warriors hopes this will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship between all the parties involved.
