Everyone made weight for Cage Rage 19 though not without incident. Cabbage was held at Heathrow Airport for ten hours while his management and the event organizers had to work to secure his visa.  Apparently, no one informed the amiable Hawaiian that he needed a work visa in order to fight in the UK.  Everything is sorted out now and he is looking forward to his bout.

Paul Daley was left to sweat it out for literally hours in the sauna trying to make weight, several attempts to make weight were looking unlikely – to the point where a possibility of a catch-weight fight was requested, but Azeredo insisted that the terms of his contract were met and Daley be forced to keep going until he passed the weight or the fight was off. This created some serious tension between the two which came to a boil over Azeredo’s absolute insistence that Daley dropped the last 200 grams to make the weight. Daley promised punishment for him tomorrow!

Butterbean did not break the scales on this occasion, though he looked in good spirits and ready to bang. He confirmed that he fights one-off contracts and has a total of 14 fights already booked for 2007. He said that he will fight anybody, anytime in any organization, except the UFC.  He will not fight there, period.

Cabbage confirmed that he is looking to make a return to the UFC and make a run at the title, but his ultimate plan is to drop to 205 pounds in 2008 and try his hand there.
