Beraun KO’s Brink

A sell-out appeciative Tucson crowd, including Don Frye, enjoyed a spectacular Rage in the Cage show. The event sold out over 4 hours prior to fight time and over 1,000 disappointed fans had to be turned away at the door.

In a stunning Main Event upset, Robert Beraun bloodied then knocked out Aaron Brink. This impressive win earned Beraun Fighter of the Night ( FOTN ) honors. Other strong candidates for FOTN were Roe Harris, Jeremiah Navarro, Zach Stoughton, Robert Maldonado and Ed West.

In a highly technical bout, Ed West won by split decision over American Top Team member Reynaldo Duarte. At the end of round 1, Duarte refused to tap to a tight arm bar and suffered a broken arm in the process. Duarte continued fighting, displaying incredible skills despite the injury.

Rage in the Cage will return to Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson for several shows over the next year.
