UFC officials on Friday added a middleweight bout between two fighters looking to crack the UFC Top 10 rankings: Brad Tavares vs. Lorenz Larkin.

Tavares (11-1) is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, having recently won a unanimous decision over Robert McDaniel at UFC Fight Night 27 in August in Indianapolis.

Like many others, Tavares made his way into the Octagon via The Ultimate Fighter reality series. He was a member of the Season 11 cast pitting coaches Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz opposite one another.

Larkin is 14-1 in his career. His only loss was dropping a decision to Georges St-Pierre teammate Francis Carmont in his UFC debut. Outside of the lone loss, he holds victories over the likes of Robbie Lawler and Gian Villante. He makes his way into UFC Fight Night 35 coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Chris Camozzi at the recent UFC Fight for the Troops 3 event.

A middleweight bout between former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold and Costa Philippou headlines UFC Fight Night 35, which takes place on Jan. 15 at the Arena at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.
