Following the loss of the UFC 137 main event bout between Georges St-Pierre and Carlos Condit, middleweights Brad Tavares and Dustin Jacoby have been given a main card slot on the pay-per-view.
UFC officials confirmed the new line-up to MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday.
Brad Tavares meets Dustin Jacoby after original opponent Tim Credeur was forced off the card with an injury.
Tavares and Jacoby were originally slated to be part of the UFC 137 prelims on Facebook, but now get the opportunity to fight on the main televised card for the pay-per-view.
Many fans had been asking for the fight between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Dennis Siver to get bumped up to the main card, but fights that are set as Spike TV preliminary bouts rarely, if ever, get moved to the pay-per-view card.
The Facebook broadcast will now move to four fights in total with Tavares and Jacoby moving up to the main card.
