Miletich and White Headed for Reconciliation?

Hell may be freezing over, because Pat Miletich and Dana White may make nice very soon.

Miletich recently told MMAInsider that he's working with White to arrange a meeting between them in the coming weeks.

The famed trainer and UFC head honcho have been on the outs for years after a litany of slights, real and perceived, between them over the course of eight years in the industry.

Miletich reportedly washed his hands of White in 2006 after being promised a coaching spot on the third season of "The Ultimate Fighter," only to see Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock take the job.

But time heals wounds, and a lot of time heals really bad wounds. Things may be turning around.

"I think we've both decided that it's better that we're not at each others throats," said Miletich. "We're both stubborn, and that's our problem."

Miletich's stable of active UFC fighters has dwindled over the years, as the originals of Miletich Fighting Systems have moved on to other camps or started their own. Recently, Miletich let go of one the last current UFC fighters in his stable, Drew McFedries, who was booted over comments he made at the post-fight press conference for UFC 98.

Could the meeting be a precursor to seeing more Miletich fighters in the Octagon? Could Miletich himself be vying for another "TUF" spot, or better yet, a fight of his own? Will the meeting degrade into shouting?

Check back with MMAInsider.

When Matt Hughes had no one to fight, they brought in an old Royce. Maybe they think they can stall the WW division for a while by feeding Milletich to GSP?

No way. This is purely about Miletich noticing his guys can't get a shot in UFC anymore, and if he wants his gym to keep the doors open, he needs to open a channel of communication.

Who cares WHY their making up, at least its happening. I hate when Dana acts like fighters don't exist b/c their on the "outs" with the UFC. Pat Militech was the first ever UFC Welterweight Champion(known as lightweight at the time} and is a four time defending Champion of that title. He should be in the Hall of Fame, and at the very least mentioned on broadcasts.

LMFAO @ Miletech changing his tune since the IFL flopped. This is some weak sauce after all the crap he talked about the UFC and Dana White. If the IFL had pulled off a miracle and hit big, he wouldn't be eating crow like this. Put on your man pants Patty and live with the consequences of your words and deeds.

The only matchup left out there in the WW divsion in my opinion for GSP is Jake Shields he has all but begged Dana too sign him and I think he would make for a great fight for GSP...Im not sure about you guys but I dont really want too see GSP fight the Swick and Kampaman winner.....Jake Shields has good ground game and would pose a better threat to GSP then anyone the UFC has unless GSP steps up to 185

Didn't Shields sign a multi fight deal with Strikeforce after EliteXC folded? So you are probably looking at a year or 2 before he sniffs GSP. Also, I thought I read that he was going to stay at MW.

One way or another, this clearly boils down to money.

At Lakerman: Shields may be the only top fighter GSP hasn't beat, but it's not an interesting fight IMO. I don't think Shields' wrestling is good enough to put GSP on his back and I doubt he could submit GSP from guard; if BJ couldn't do it, Shields won't either.

Goddamn GSP, why'd you have to go and run your way through the division; there's no one left for him to fight!
