Tim Sylvia on Mercer KO, "It was stupid of me"
Inside MMA takes a look back at Ray Mercer's 9-second knockout of Tim Sylvia. After the fight, Sylvia told HDNet, "I stood up with a boxer when he was in my world, which is stupid of me."
Did Sylvia do the right thing since it was originally supposed to be a boxing match anyway, or should he have immediately tried to make it an MMA scrap?Labels: Inside MMA, Ray Mercer, Tim Sylvia

At least he knows it was stupid. The idea of him trying to box him was stupid from the get-go.
His fat butt came in out of shape and overconfident......he got what he deserved
Sylvia fought this fight like he has fought his whole MMA career. He gets knocked out in 9 seconds and all of a sudden he should have become the takedown and submission wizard he has never been? Great.
Ofcourse you shouldnt box with Ray Mercer. But keep in mind this is the same guy who said he could beat any boxer in the top 10 a while back and actually believed he had great boxing skills.
Stick a for in him. Tim is DONE!
stick a fork in MMA it's dead long live Boxing
