Final UFC 98 Gate Numbers Released

The Nevada State Athletic Commission Wednesday released the final gate and ticket numbers for UFC 98, headlined by Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida.

The event sold 9,550 tickets, with 3,056 going out as "comps," for $3,265,450 in live gate revenue.

UFC 98 now officially ranks as the twelfth highest MMA gate in the state's history.

I would think w/ over 3000 comp'd? Crazy !!! Can I have a Comp'd ticket?

Sure you can get comp'd... Lose thousands and thousands to the casino which the event happens at.. The casino will be gladly to comp you a room, a meal and a ticket to show of your choice..

you only get casino comps if you WIN.. Why would a casino give you a free ticket to a show and a room if they allready have your money? Think about it....

You earn comp points through hours spent in the casino and earning/losses. Casinos usually have player cards that keep up with all that. It's like earning points for gifts and travel through your credit cards. Like the previous person just said, if you're getting free things from the casino. You're going to cash in on it as well as have the temptations of gambling and spend more, hence a chance of them making even more money from you.. What's the old saying? You have to spend money, in order to make money. Except in this case, "the house always wins."
