the shame of it is that up until i saw this interview i actually enjoyed the show quite a bit becuase i thought he was a pretty funny laid back kind of dude.
now i see he is an arrogant jerkoff with a very crappy attitude overall. it makes the whole idea even more fake than it already is. we already know that the only way to get on the show is to be the BULLY sending in a tape asking to have a fight (check out reality show audition sites). the bullies are chosen then brought to the show. NOT the victims offering up their stories.
so alot of "bullies" arent actually bullies. they are just guys who see a way to make $10,000 to fight an MMA dude. worst case he splits the money with his 2 SUPPOSED VICTIMS. he gets 4000 to fight and they get 3000 each to pretend he ruined their lives.

HUMAN GARBAGE. Seriously, not a good person at all. A loser who beat up some old man and then tried to beat up his ex girlfriend and her boyfriend but wound up getting owned because the ex's boyfriend was a purple belt in BJJ!!

Very bad for the sport. Please go away. Now I'm going to rewatch Mayhem's fight with GSP where he got friggin' clowned!! OUCH!!!!

u guys are overreacting to someone who likes to stir shit up. mayhem is classic for being an outrageous douchebag part of the time and thats why mtv chose him over other fighters. ur giving him what he wants by getting all flustered and outraged, and yes, he is a tool.

Mayhem is a C level figther who has no future in MMA. He is doing this MTV stuff because he's washed up. What he is doing is bad for the sport and making a mockery out of MMA.

Mayhem is a loser.

"C" level fighter? u must be kidding he was the last guy 2 defeat Robbie Lawler(via rear naked choke) whos a top ten rated middlewieght by mmaweekly and holds a victory over Dennis Kang as well going the distance with GSP(got his azz handed 2 him in that fight but not 2 many fighters can say they went the distance with GSP). No ur just a "C" level mma fan get ur facts straight buddy.

I too am tired of hearing about what is good or bad for the sport. I think what you saw there was less him being a douche as him just bristling at a question he's no doubt been asked s shit load of times by now. A question that has no real answer because it's a load of crap for bored sports commentators and statistic junkies to sit around debating when they should be doing their jobs at work. And of course the show is staged, did you just get a tv or something (that's the way "reality" tv works)?

Obviously most of the people posting here don't know Mayhem. It's all an act.

I think he showed some true emotion when the guy doing the interview hinted that the show could be bad for the sport...that really struck a cord with Mayhem and good for him for reacting the way he did. He obviously has passion for the sport and who cares if he's a "C Level" fighter, he's entertaining and loves what he's doing.

Mayhem is one of the most underrated fighters in my opinion because he dosen't fight in the UFC. If you follow the sport you know the guy is scared of no one and he dosen't quit. How many guys stand up smiling after 3 rounds of brutal ground and pound with GSP. Jon Finch wasn't smiling. He runs his mouth and I think it is hilarious. He has to deal with MTV producers that tell him what to say. It would be frustrating to be told what to say by producers and have the critics go apeshit over it. Its a funny show and it is definitely better than most of the MTV bullshit. Nitro Circus is the only one more entertaining and when someone dies on that show it might be of the air so enjoy bully beat down for what it is. Dont take yourselves so seriously.

Its amazing to me how much stock some people put into what is said. To not watch Mayhems show because what he said is immature and hypocritical. Dana White says the dumbest shit ever....ever. And you still watch the UFC.

You guys are a bunch of Affliction tee shirt wearing retards. He's right who cares what you guys think. He is funny as hell and he just havin good time with the whole thing. You douches need to stop taking everything so serious. Why don't you start bitchin about the ridiculous amount of money thrown into these retarded MMA based movies instead of complaining about Mayhem.

Mayhem isn't a C level fighter. C level is a can. Mayhem is a inconsistent B level fighter. He can beat a tough B level guy like Lawler but he got clowned very badly by GSP. Since then GSP has improved tremendously while Mayhem has declined quite a bit. If those two matched up again, they would probably throw the match maker in jail.

So far as the show, it's bad for the sport. It's like the Harlem Globtrotters without the skill or humor. In other words, a mockery.

Mayhem needs to find himself. He's not that good at MMA and even worse at entertaining.

If people don't like what ProElite is doing with the sport, why don't they get involved with the company by investing in it... it is a public company.
