Blog Photo: Georges St-Pierre May Have Vacated UFC Championship, but He’s Still Training

Posted on by BlogAuthor

Georges St-Pierre

Georges St-Pierre headed into the New Year without the UFC welterweight championship belt wrapped around his waist. He gave up the belt in December, but that doesn’t mean he’s left his teammates and training partners behind.

St-Pierre was in New York recently, putting in some training time and hanging out with his teammate.

“After a great training session in NYC! Happy New Year!!!” said St-Pierre in posting the above photo to Facebook.

St-Pierre, when he walked away, left the door open for a return. Who knows if he’ll ever decide to come back.

But either way, Happy New Year Georges!

Good for you Georges! Get rested and recharged, because Silva is already talking about that super fight finally.

Hopefully ‘after’ both get their belts back…

(Otherwise, it would just seem like “Kimo vs Ken Shamrock 2″ all over again)

that’s the rumor atm, he’s gonna put on weight and fight @ 185 which I would love to see. he beats weidman. I also wouldn’t care if he stayed retired since he’s mostly a boring fighter to me and hendricks beat him.

It would be like koscheck vs gsp 2……. 5 rounds of jabs lol

      • taylor2008

GSP is not going to beat weidman.
