Marvel on Thursday released some photos from the filming of its upcoming film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is slated for release in April 2014.
One of the photos gives us a first look at former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who plays the role of Batroc the Leaper, a villain in the film. Rather appropriate after he’s been vilified by UFC president Dana White for his recent comments about his dissatisfaction with his former employers.
According to Marvel.com:
Batroc trained himself in savate (French kickboxing) while in the French Foreign Legion, and he later became a costumed mercenary as the Leaper. Although originally working alone, he began and continues to often recruit fellow rogues and criminals when a job may require it, forming the so-called Batroc’s Brigade.
St-Pierre stars alongside Chris Evans as Steve Rogers (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Anthony Mackie as The Falcon.
The likelihood seems to be fading by the day, but do you think we will ever see St-Pierre star in the Octagon again?
