BJ Penn didn’t really want to step into the Octagon with Nick Diaz, whom he has a personal relationship with, but when it was inked, he always knew this was a main-event-level fight.

While Diaz was originally pulled from the headlining slot against UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, the fates aligned for him to fight Penn in Saturday’s UFC 137: Penn vs. Diaz main event in Las Vegas.

Penn went one-on-one with to talk about the whirlwind of events that put the fight in position as the headliner, his relationship with Diaz, and what he thinks it will take for him to get back in the title hunt.

BJ sounds like he has a cold! Hope not, I have been looking forward to this fight.

Cold or not, I think BJ is going to get whooped in this fight. It will be a good first round of back and forth, then a second round of Diaz picking apart BJ followed by a third round of a Terminator like Diaz destroying a gassed out turd. Just a guess, but all will see.
