Renato 'Babalu' Sobral at UFC 52
Just a day after One FC announced their new television partnership with ESPN Star Sports, the promotion has now confirmed their third show for March 31 with two familiar faces at the top of the card.

Former UFC and Strikeforce contender Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral will make his One FC debut taking on fellow Strikeforce veteran Melvin Manhoef in a light heavyweight main event.

One FC officials announced the bout late Tuesday night.

Sobral makes his return to action after more than a year away from the sport after suffering an injury caused during a snowboarding accident.

Manhoef will look to stop a three fight skid when he faces Sobral in One FC. The fierce kickboxer dropped his last trio of bouts between Strikeforce and Dream, and also recently lost a kickboxing match to Tyrone Spong in Holland.

The co-main event of the One FC show will feature leg lock master Masakazu Imanari against undefeated prospect Kevin Belingon.

Also on the card will be Singapore’s own female fighter Nicole Chua against an opponent to be named later.

Sobral by sub. He’s gonna eat some leg kicks but he’ll get the win.

Agree that Sobral will get sub, but I have seen dumber things, like Brock electing to stand with Overeem for 2 1/2 minutes. Fighters have to put their ego aside and remember what got them there. I would throw front kicks galore if I was Sobral.

Babalu should take this, hes a very under rated fighter, a lot of people underestimate him, in fact he is an extremely dangerous LHW.

Under rated fighter? Extremely dangerous LHW? whatever ur smoking share pls. Babalu has nothing right now is why he jumped at this gig, just like One fc has nothing to offer but this crappy main event. WEC & Strikeforce Challengers looked better on their worst days.
