There are
several Brazilian fighters competing at tonight’s UFC 79 event in Las Vegas.
Chief among them is Lyoto Machida.

Ivan Canello recently caught up with UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva
to discuss Machida’s fight, the other Brazilians fighting on the card,
impending changes at Black House, and more.

Of the
Brazilian’s fighting at UFC 79, Silva was confident they will do well.

“Lyoto has
all the tools to win this fight,” he stated.

This is
Luis Cane’s first fight in the Octagon, but Silva commented, “His opponent is a
good fighter, but Banha (Cane) has been proving that he has what it takes to be
a UFC fighter.”

And despite
tough competition in the form of Tony DeSouza, Silva was confident in Roan
Carneiro, saying, “Jucao (Carneiro), he is totally ready. He is an excellent
athlete and I’ll bet he will win.”

He also
went on to discuss moving his Black House team and an impending name change for
the team. “We had a brand problem and we are about to change the name,” said a
good-natured Silva.
