Former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winner Amir Sadollah gets back in the cage Super Bowl weekend where he faces Wanderlei Silva student Jorge Lopez at UFC 143.
UFC officials announced the new match-up on Tuesday evening.
Amir Sadollah comes back in February after a tough defeat to fellow Muay Thai specialist Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig at UFC on Versus 5 in Milwaukee.
Sadollah has gone 2-2 in his last four fights, and looks to build some consistency as he heads into his ninth professional bout, coincidentally all of which have been in the UFC.
Facing Sadollah in February will be second time UFC fighter Jorge Lopez, who looks to get back on track after losing to Justin Edwards in his Octagon debut.
Lopez, who trains under legendary Pride and UFC star Wanderlei Silva, will try to pick up his first UFC win when he faces the former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ champion in February.
Sadollah vs. Lopez is expected be an undecard bout for the UFC 143 card, headlined by welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre against Nick Diaz.
