Fatal Femmes Fighting Championship is back Saturday, July 14th at the Crystal Casino (123 East Artesia Blvd., Compton). The bout card will feature fighters from the U.S., Japan and Brazil, including Seattle’s Lisa Ward defending her Fatal Femmes Flyweight Championship against Japan’s Misaki Takimoto.

Titled “The Crystal Brawl” (www.fatalfemmesfighting.com) and presented by Fatal Femmes Fighting Championship, along with sponsors Crystal Casino and Throwdown Industries, the event features lightweight, flyweight, super flyweight and middleweight match ups for a full night of all women’s mixed martial arts.

Along with Ward and Takimoto, some of the sport’s hottest talents, including Brazil’s Vanessa Porto, Japan’s Sumie Sakai, and up and coming USA Fighter Sofie Bagherdai, will be on hand, doing battle.

A.J. Benza, current host of “High Stakes Poker,” and Lisa King “Fight Girls”, will help announce the event by providing color commentary to Fatal Femmes Play by Play announcer, Jay Adams.

Executive Producer Ilan Lewinger calls the July 14 event “another historic stepping stone for women in a sport that’s continuing its ascension into the mainstream.”

“These are highly trained athletes competing at optimum levels in one of the most highly demanding sports around”, he adds.

At least sixteen of the sport’s best women mixed martial arts fighters will fill out the Saturday night card.

Featured on numerous national news shows, such as “60 Minutes,” mixed martial arts cage fighting draws more cable pay per views buys these days than conventional boxing and its individual live events have grossed as much as $5 million each.

Tickets, priced from $40 to $100, are on sale at www.fatalfemmesfighting.com or by calling 1-877-FFF-9381.
