Riding a three-fight win streak, Alexis Davis will look to make it four in a row when she returns to Strikeforce in March.
The Canadian 135lb fighter has been waiting since her last bout, a TKO victory over highly touted Amanda Nunes, for a call to get ready to come back.
Now it appears Davis will get her shot at the Strikeforce show currently rumored to take place on March 3 in Ohio.
Davis’ representatives at Addison Sports Management confirmed her return in March on Wednesday.
As of right now, Davis doesn’t yet have an opponent for the card in March, but it’s likely she could face any of the top 135lb fighters in the division.
Just recently, Davis spoke to MMAWeekly Radio where she offered to fight Olympic Judoka Ronda Rousey, if she was still looking for a fight.
“I don’t think she’s really fought anybody who has been able to give her a challenge, that’s had like a serious ground game,” Davis said about Rousey.
The March card that’s rumored for Ohio will likely also be the landing spot for the finals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix between Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier.
MMAWeekly.com will have more information on Davis’ opponent when it becomes available.
