Mark Kerr looked unfocused and unimpressive against Mustafa Al-Turk, a shell of his former self and clearly a man whose career as a fighter is over. He didn’t really offer much of an offense to Al-Turk aside from a brief attempt at a Kimura. Al-Turk was all business throughout the fight, dominating the American with ease in the standup and on the ground. A solid win for the London Shootfighter Heavyweight who has still to be pushed any further than halfway though a first round.

Marios Zaromskis and Damien Riccio must take honors for “Fight of the Night.” Zaromskis dominated the game, French fighter in a standup war to be remembered. Zaromskis employed a Sprawl and Brawl game plan to perfection, setting up kicks off a 3-4 punch combination and then defending the shoot. Three rounds in and a T-shaped cut forced a halt to the bout to protect the battered Frenchman.

Tom Howard must still be wondering what hit him! From nowhere, Blackledge threw a brutal high kick flattening the American out and leaving him with a two-inch long gash across his forehead from right eyebrow to hairline. The medical team and referee Leon Roberts did a sterling job in protecting the fighter. I hope he’s OK, a truly devastating KO.

James Thompson recorded a loss to Butterbean having been caught with a flash KO punch putting him down. Butterbean followed him down to land more strikes as Thompson worked for a single to try and turn his opponent, then referee Grant Waterman steps in to halt the action recording a KO win for the American. Widely viewed as an early stoppage by most in attendance and clearly frustrating for James Thompson following his impressive win against Yoshida.
