The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday released post-fight drug test results for WEC 42, which took place on Aug. 9 at the Hard Rock Hotel and featured a bantamweight title fight between Miguel Torres and Brian Bowles.

Nine fighters were tested for performance enhancing agents and drugs of abuse, including Torres, Bowles, Dominic Cruz, Takeya Mizugaki, Leonard Garcia, Cole Province, Shane Roller, Ed Ratcliff, and Diego Nunes.

Province, who won a unanimous decision over Fredson Paixao on the event's undercard, has tested positive for Methasterone metabolite. His license has been suspended temporarily pending the results of an administrative review by the NSAC.

Methasterone is a so-called "designer steroid" taken orally that is similar in chemical composition to Drostanolone, the steroid that Hermes Franca and Josh Barnett were flagged for by the California State Athletic Commission.

WEC 42 saw the bantamweight title change hands for the third time since the promotion's sale to Zuffa, LLC when Bowles knocked out Torres in the first round of their meeting. Cruz, who defeated Joseph Benavidez in the co-main event, is expected to face Bowles next.
