On Saturday night in Connecticut, former "Ultimate Fighter" season 8 cast-member Karn Grigoryan successfully returned to action winning by knockout over previously unbeaten Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Daniel Rial.

A winner during his preliminary fight on the reality show, Grigoryan was forced out of the competition with an injury, but the Armenian born fighter has hopes of returning to the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the future.

"This year I had my dream coming true and went to the Ultimate Fighter season 8, but unfortunately I left the house because I had problem with my nose on my victory over Elliot Marshal in what some people considered controversial the result, but after that I took care my nose and got clear to fight and had two fights already winning both in less then three minutes," Grigoryan said after the fight.

He was successful in keeping the Brazilian wrestler and ground expert on the feet while landing a couple of combinations, before hitting a big right shot that put an end to the fight in just over a minute in the first round.

Picking up the win, Grigoryan is hopeful for another shot in the Octagon. UFC heavyweight Gabriel Gonzaga, who serves as one of his trainers, is pushing for his return as well.

“Karn is a bull. This guy has so much potential and is training every day and he believes that his time is now," Gonzaga stated. "He is my main training partner and we both are helping each other. I really hope Joe Silva (will) bring him back.”

In other action on the card, Grigoryan's teammate at Team Link, Chris Manley, also picked up a win, keeping his record perfect at 3-0.
