  - WILSON REIS WINS 140LB TITLE; SHOXC RESULTS

The latest edition of the Elite XC developmental series, ShoXC, debuted on Showtime Friday night, crowning Wilson Reis the first ever 140lb champion in the organization by defeating Abel Cullum by unanimous decision.
Reis was able to erase the memory of his last fight, a close decision win over Brian Caraway in which his cardio looked suspect at best, by out working a game opponent for all 5 rounds of the title bout.
The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter was able to control the ground game and while he was not able to finish Cullum, he did sustain the pace and keep the fight in his hands the entire time.
In other action, Shane Del Rosario kept his record perfect by finishing off Carl Seumanatafa in the 2nd round. After landing a couple of devastating knees to the body, Del Rosario followed up with a big punch on the feet and a few more on the ground before the fight was stopped.
David Douglas pulled out a hard fought win over Muay Thai fighter, Malaipet, getting the stoppage by TKO after getting the mount and reigning down shots on his opponent and opening a huge cut over Malaipet’s eye.
Veteran fighter Jamie Jara put an end to the undefeated streak of Giva Santana, pulling off a split decision win. Jara was able to stave off Santana’s submissions in the first round, and followed up with strong stand-up while avoiding the ground game for the remaining rounds to pick up the win.
Following more than a year off from the sport, Erik Apple returned to action with a submission win over Matt Makowski at ShoXC. Apple controlled virtually every aspect of the fight before finishing off his opponent with a rear naked choke in the second round.
