Following a year-and-a-half layoff, Ian “The
Machine” Freeman made his successful return to active competition, defeating
Paul Cahoon to become the Cage Rage British light heavyweight champion.
Freeman and Cahoon headlined a 10-bout fight card
at Cage Rage 26 on Saturday night, as the promotion took its first steps on a
countrywide tour. The event, which is usually hosted in London, took place in
Birmingham, England. While Cage Rage 27 is scheduled for July 12 in a London
return, the promotion is also looking at expanding into Liverpool later this
year.
Several fighters increased their value at Cage
Rage 26, however, and MMAWeekly.com’s Lee Whitehead was there to capture all of
the action.
